The 3M™ Stikit™ Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U features 5" diameter open coat aluminum oxide abrasive discs with a P800 grit, containing 175 discs per roll. These discs have a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing for quick attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately) and are designed for use with a random orbital sander. The discs are constructed with long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a lightweight paper backing, suitable for lightweight sanding and finishing across various substrates such as paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites like fiberglass. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent clogging by allowing dust and debris to collect in the spaces between abrasive grains, which maintains the disc's effectiveness and provides a more aggressive cut than closed coat abrasives of the same grit. The discs conveniently press onto the backup pad and remove cleanly without contaminating the surface for the next disc. Typical applications include AOEM finish preparation, repair, defect leveling, and orbital sanding in the AOEM industry. The product is designed for durability and ease of use but requires the separate purchase of compatible Stikit backup pads for operation. Warranty terms apply as provided by 3M.
