The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Radial Bristle Disc measures 3" x 3/8" and features a ceramic 50 grit abrasive, utilizing proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and molded, flexible bristles to ensure more surface contact compared to traditional wire brushes while maintaining its abrasive properties throughout its lifespan. This high-performance disc effectively removes paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas, achieving the desired finish with light pressure due to the flexibility of the bristles. Designed for longevity, it outlasts wire and other abrasive discs and is suitable for various metals, including aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, and stainless steel, making it ideal for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, transportation, and other applications. The ceramic aluminum oxide blend offers enhanced toughness and hardness, outperforming aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, and is ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal as well as finishing tasks. The unique Scotch-Brite™ abrasive system integrates abrasives into a non-woven fiber matrix, ensuring consistent results while the open-web material operates cool and is load-resistant, thus minimizing clogging of the fibers.
