The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Bristle Disc measures 4-1/2" x 5/8-11 and features a ceramic 36 grit abrasive. This disc utilizes ceramic abrasive grain and molded, flexible bristles to provide enhanced surface contact compared to traditional wire brushes, maintaining its abrasive properties throughout its lifespan. It is effective in removing paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas. Designed for longevity, the Scotch-Brite™ Bristle Disc performs well on materials such as aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, and stainless steel, making it suitable for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, transportation, and other applications. The flexible bristles, when used with light pressure, achieve the desired finish while remaining securely in place.
