Electric heat-traced stations are designed to prevent freezing in extreme conditions, operating effectively in temperatures as low as -20°F. These thermostat-regulated units incorporate self-limiting heat-tracing cables wrapped around internal piping, activating when temperatures drop below 75°F. The units are FM, UL, and CSA approved for Class I, Division 2, Groups B, C, and D, and are fully wired at the factory, featuring junction boxes and components rated for the same classifications. They require a 120 VAC single-phase power supply and are constructed from UV-resistant orange ABS plastic with polyethylene foam insulation. The 10" diameter unit includes a 20 GPM flow control and a 1" IPS brass stay-open ball valve, made in the US with brass ball and PTFE seals. Additional features include a stainless steel actuating arm, a 29" stainless steel pull rod, freeze-resistant construction with float-off dust covers, and internal flow control. It also has a 1/2" IPS brass three-way self-draining stay-open ball valve and a 1/2" NPT port for draining water from spray heads after use. The pipes and fittings are made from Schedule 40 galvanized steel, with a 1-1/4" NPT female bottom inlet, and an ANSI-compliant identification sign. Each unit is factory tested prior to shipment and is shipped fully assembled and crated.
