The unit heater is designed for horizontal or vertical mount downflow, providing a heating output of 7.5 kW at 240V, 1-3PH, making it suitable as an auxiliary, supplementary, or primary heat source in various settings such as factories, stores, garages, basements, warehouses, public buildings, service stations, stock-rooms, offices, and large exposed areas. This versatile unit features an adjustable louver system that allows users to control the throw direction effectively, with stops to prevent complete closing of the discharge area. It offers 360° positioning and is equipped with an aluminum-finned, copper clad steel sheath heating element that promotes longer useful life due to cooler sheath temperatures and enhanced heat dissipation. The advanced pull-through airflow design ensures even air distribution and cooler element operation. The heater also includes 10 power ratings ranging from 3 kW to 50 kW heating output, compatible with 208, 240, 277, and 480V systems, delivering between 10,230 and 170,600 BTU/hr. It supports 1- or 3-phase wiring on 5 through 10 kW 208/240V and 15 kW 208V units, with field interchangeable options, and features branch circuit fusing as required to meet NEC standards for a maximum of 24 amps per circuit. The 25 to 50 kW models come with a 2-speed fan selector switch, and the automatic control delays fan action until the heating element warms up. When the thermostat is satisfied, the fan continues to operate until the heating element cools down, preventing the circulation of cold air and extending component life. The unit includes an automatic reset linear thermal cut-out capillary type protection for the entire length of the element area, with manual reset protection available on a made-to-order basis. Its specially designed venturi outlet enhances throw in vertical position, and it features a rugged, lightweight construction for easier installation, without the need for piping flues, valves, or traps. The heavy gauge die-formed steel housing and large, dynamically balanced fan blades ensure maximum airflow with minimal turbulence and noise.
