Product Details
The unit heater is designed for horizontal or vertical mount downflow applications, offering 20 kW of heating power at 480V in a 3-phase configuration. It serves as an auxiliary, supplementary, or primary heat source suitable for factories, stores, garages, basements, warehouses, public buildings, service stations, stock-rooms, offices, and expansive areas. This versatile unit features adjustable louvers that can be positioned up and down, allowing for precise control of air throw direction while preventing complete closure of the discharge area. It supports 360° positioning and includes a durable aluminum-finned, copper clad steel sheath heating element, which provides an extended lifespan due to lower sheath temperatures and enhanced heat dissipation. The advanced pull-through air flow design ensures optimal air distribution and cooler element operation. With 10 power ratings ranging from 3 kW to 50 kW, the heater accommodates voltages of 208, 240, 277, and 480V, delivering heating outputs from 10,230 to 170,600 BTU/hr. The unit allows for 1- or 3-phase wiring on 5 through 10 kW 208/240V and 15 kW 208V models, which are field interchangeable. It includes branch circuit fusing as needed to comply with NEC requirements for a maximum of 24 amps per circuit. The 25 to 50 kW models feature a 2-speed fan selector switch, and an automatic control system delays fan operation until the heating element is warm, maintaining comfort by preventing cold air circulation and prolonging component life. The unit also includes an automatic reset linear thermal cut-out of the capillary type for comprehensive protection over the heating element's length (manual reset protection is available on a made-to-order basis). Additionally, a specially designed venturi outlet enhances air throw in vertical configurations. Constructed with heavy gauge die-formed steel housing, this unit is rugged yet lightweight for easier installation, eliminating the need for piping flues, valves, or traps. Large, dynamically balanced fan blades are engineered for maximum airflow while minimizing turbulence and noise.
