Merz has established itself as the industry standard for UL certified switches, with Springer Controls-Merz switches available in models ranging from 16 AMP to 125 AMP, suitable for both residential and industrial applications. This particular item is a 4-screw, front-panel mounting cam switch, with the switch and handle secured to the panel or wall by four included screws. The cam switches feature contact arrangements with switching chambers containing 1, 2, or 3 (in Series 111 only) double interrupted conduct paths, each comprising 2 firmly seated terminals and one mobile contact bridge guided by a plunger. The contact bridge is positively operated by the cam and closed by a spring. An indexing device with various torque options and 4 different switching angles is available. Finger-proof cam switches come equipped with screws that have captive plus-minus heads, while all terminals are designed with screwdriver guiding and funnel-shaped cable entries with a chamber-like design that includes cable end stops for proper insertion depth.
