Merz cam switches are recognized for their exceptional quality and reliability, featuring models that range from 16 amp to 125 amp and are UL certified for both residential and industrial applications. This particular model is a 4-screw, front-panel mounting cam switch, with the switch and handle securely attached to the panel or wall using the included screws. The contact arrangement of these cam switches includes switching chambers with 1, 2, or 3 (Series 111 only) double interrupted conduct paths, each composed of 2 firmly seated terminals and one mobile contact bridge guided by a plunger. The contact bridge is positively opened by the cam and closed by a spring mechanism. The indexing device offers different torques and features 4 switching angles. Additionally, the finger proof cam switches are fitted with screws that have captive plus-minus heads, and all terminals are designed with screwdriver guiding, funnel-shaped cable entries, and a chamber-like structure to ensure optimal functionality. Cable end stops are included to guarantee the correct insertion depth.
