Merz cam switches are known for their quality and reliability, adhering to UL certification standards. Available in models ranging from 16 amp to 125 amp, these switches are suitable for both residential and industrial applications. This particular model features a 4-screw, front-panel mounting design, with four screws included for attaching the switch and handle to the panel or wall. The cam switches are designed with varying contact arrangements, offered with 1, 2, or 3 double interrupted conduct paths (the latter only applicable to Series 111). Each conduct path consists of two firmly seated terminals and a movable contact bridge that is guided by a plunger. The contact bridge is positively opened by the cam and closed by a spring. The indexing device comes in different torques and four switching angles, while the finger-proof design includes screws with captive plus-minus heads. All terminals feature screwdriver guiding, funnel-shaped cable entries, and a chamber-like design, with cable end stops ensuring the correct insertion depth. Complete enclosed units are available, and additional switch types can be requested.
