Merz has long been the industry standard in UL certified switches, offering cam switches known for their quality and reliability. Springer Controls-Merz switches are available in models ranging from 16 amp to 125 amp, suitable for both residential and industrial applications. This specific item is a 4-screw, front-panel mounting cam switch, with the switch and handle secured to the panel or wall by the included screws. The cam switches are fitted with switching chambers featuring 1, 2, or 3 double interrupted conduct paths, depending on the model (Series 111 only). Each conduct path consists of 2 firmly seated terminals and one mobile contact bridge guided by a plunger. The contact bridge is positively opened by the cam and closed by a spring. The indexing device offers various torques and 4 different switching angles. Additionally, the finger-proof cam switches come equipped with screws featuring captive plus-minus screw heads, and all terminals are designed with screwdriver guiding, funnel-shaped cable entries, and a chamber-like structure. Cable end stops ensure proper insertion depth. Complete (enclosed) units are also available, along with additional switch types upon special request.
