Merz has long been the industry standard in UL certified switches, offering cam switches that excel in quality and reliability. Springer Controls-Merz switches come in models ranging from 16 amp to 125 amp, suitable for both residential and industrial applications. This specific item is a 4-screw, front-panel mounting cam switch, with the switch and handle securely attached to the panel or wall using four included screws. Depending on their contact arrangement, cam switches are equipped with switching chambers that have 1, 2, or 3 double interrupted conduct paths (Series 111 only). Each conduct path consists of 2 firmly seated terminals and one mobile contact bridge, which is guided by a plunger and positively opened by the cam and closed by a spring. The indexing device features different torques and offers four switching angles. The finger-proof cam switches come with screws that have captive plus-minus screw heads, while all terminals include screwdriver guiding, funnel-shaped cable entries, and a chamber-like design. Cable end stops ensure the correct insertion depth. If the required switch type is not listed, customers are encouraged to contact BSC Preferred Equipment. Additionally, cam switches are available as complete enclosed units, and extra switch types can be provided upon special request.
