Robertshaw's 41-400 series Norton hot surface ignitors provide reliable ignition for a variety of heating systems, including furnaces, boilers, rooftop heaters, infrared burners, unit heaters, and water heaters. Constructed from high-purity recrystallized silicon carbide (Cristar™), these ignitors offer both physical and thermal strength along with stable electrical properties. They are engineered to achieve ignition temperatures within 17 seconds and feature 18-gauge nickel-chrome lead wires that are embedded and metalized for enhanced holding strength and electrical conductivity. The lead wires are protected by high-temperature fiberglass insulation, ensuring total electrical safety. All models in the 41-400 series operate at 120 VAC, although some hot surface modules can handle 208/240 volts input, converting the voltage down to 120 VAC for the ignitor's use.
