Robertshaw's 41-400 series Norton hot surface ignitors provide reliable ignition for a variety of heating systems, including furnaces, boilers, rooftop heaters, infrared burners, unit heaters, and water heaters, as well as many other types of HVAC equipment. Constructed from high-purity recrystallized silicon carbide (Cristar™), these ignitors offer a combination of physical and thermal strength with stable electrical properties. The ignitors are designed to achieve ignition temperatures within 17 seconds and feature 18-gauge nickel chrome lead wires that are embedded and metalized for maximum holding strength and electrical conductivity. These lead wires are enclosed in high-temperature fiberglass insulation, ensuring total electrical protection. All models in the 41-400 series operate at 120 VAC, with some hot surface modules rated for 208/240 volts input, which step the voltage down to 120 VAC for the ignitor.
