The Knaack Model 79 Storagemaster® Piano Box measures 48"W x 49"H and has a capacity of 38.2 cu ft. It is designed for versatility across various trades, featuring a caster-ready build and full-width shelves for optimal organization of tools and supplies. The box includes a bi-fold cover that completely folds out of the way, allowing unrestricted access and fitting perfectly in the width of a full-size truck bed. Key features include a Watchman® IV lock system with recessed lock housing for enhanced theft protection, additional reinforcement between the lock and side housing, heavy-duty hinges that resist pry-ins, and a Power Pass® electrical pass-thru grommet for easy and weatherproof power cord access. The powder-coat finish enhances durability and corrosion resistance, while four-way skids allow for access from any side. The closed height is 49" and the open height is 78", with caster-ready 14-gauge steel skids to accommodate optional casters. Additional attributes include recessed handles, gas spring guards to prevent damage from shifting loads, and an improved ball stud bracket for added strength and durability. When the cover is closed, the Model 79 chest can also function as a work table.
