The brake motor is a 1HP, 1725RPM unit with a 56 frame, designed as a totally-enclosed, fan-cooled (TEFC) motor. It operates on 115/208-230V, 1PH, and is intended for continuous duty with a service factor of 1.0. The motor features a fail-safe positive stop and hold brake, which utilizes spring-set brakes that automatically stop the load when power is turned off. The brake motors are equipped with a power off manual release for convenience and in the event of a power failure, with the manual release resetting automatically. The standard brake, manufactured by Stearns, includes brake coil leads that are brought into the conduit box of the motor for easy connection. These leads can be configured to operate when power to the motor is shut off, or to be actuated independently of motor power. The single phase brake coils are rated at 115/230 VAC and 60 Hz.
