The brake motor is a 1HP, 1725RPM unit with a 56 frame, designed for drip-proof (DP) operation and suitable for continuous duty at 208-230/460V, 3PH. It features a no thermal protection design with a 1.15 service factor and is configured for C face mount. This fail-safe positive stop and hold brake motor incorporates spring-set brakes that automatically stop the load when power is turned off. For convenience during power failures, the brake motors include a power off manual release that resets automatically. The standard brake is manufactured by Stearns, and the brake coil leads are routed into the motor's conduit box for simplified connection. These coils can be connected to actuate when power to the motor is shut off or to operate independently of the motor's power. The three-phase motors are equipped with brake coils rated at 230/460 VAC, 60 Hz.
