The brake motor is a 1.5/1HP unit operating at 1725/1425 RPM with a 56 frame size, designed to be drip-proof (DP) and suitable for use at 208-230/460V in a three-phase configuration, with continuous duty and no thermal protection. It features a service factor of 1.15 and a C face mount. This motor is equipped with fail-safe positive stop and hold brake systems, where the brakes are spring set, ensuring that the load is automatically stopped when the power is turned off. For convenience, the brake motors include a power-off manual release, which resets automatically, making them functional even during power failures. The standard brake is manufactured by Stearns, and its brake coil leads are directed into the motor's conduit box for easy connection. The brake coils for three-phase motors are rated at 230/460 VAC and operate at 60 Hz.
