The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ surface conditioning disc is a 1-1/2 inch diameter disc featuring an open-web fiber that runs cool and resists loading while providing a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. It utilizes the 3M™ Roloc™ quick change attachment system for fast and secure disc change-out, suitable for tasks such as blending, deburring, and finishing. The disc is available with a choice of silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive minerals; silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral ideal for low-pressure applications like paint preparation and finishing, producing a finer finish but breaking down faster, whereas aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral offering higher cut-rate and longer life. The Roloc™ discs attach easily to a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately) enabling quick swaps between applications and feature color-coded grades for easy identification. Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning products are made by incorporating abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, forming an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product’s life, running cool to reduce part discoloration and warping, and offering load resistance to maintain cutting performance by limiting fiber clogging.
