The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ surface conditioning disc is a 1" diameter medium grit aluminum oxide abrasive designed for blending, deburring, and finishing tasks. The open-web fiber construction runs cool and resists loading, providing a high cut-rate and consistent finishing. It features the 3M™ Roloc™ quick change attachment system that enables fast and secure disc change-out onto a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately), suitable for heavy-duty applications and multi-step finishing processes. The product is available with either silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive minerals; silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral ideal for low-pressure uses like paint prep and finishing and produces a finer finish but breaks down faster, while aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral delivering a high cut-rate and long life. Each disc is color-coded for easy grade identification. The Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning products integrate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating an abrasive system that maintains consistent performance throughout the product life by running cool to reduce discoloration and warping, while the load-resistant fibers minimize clogging and maintain cutting efficiency. The package includes the 1" diameter medium grit aluminum oxide disc; the dimensions and specifications ensure compatibility with 3M™ Roloc™ disc pads, and the product complies with relevant industry standards.
