The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ SE surface conditioning disc features a 3-inch diameter with aluminum oxide fine grit abrasives on an open-web fiber backing that runs cool and resists loading. The aluminum oxide abrasive provides a high cut-rate and long life, making it suitable for heavy-duty deburring and finishing on a variety of substrates including ferrous alloys in both woodworking and metalworking. The mineral is tough, durable, and self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, offering hardness, strength, and low heat retention, which is ideal for grinding, sanding, and finishing applications. The disc uses the 3M™ Roloc™ attachment system, allowing for quick and secure disc change-out onto a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately), facilitating easy swaps between jobs or multi-step finishing processes. 3M™ Roloc™ TR, TS, and TSM discs are smaller discs designed for quick changes, and each disc is color-coded to identify its grade for convenient selection. Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning products combine abrasives with non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating a system that delivers consistent results over the product’s life while reducing heat and minimizing part discoloration and warping.
