The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ surface conditioning disc, measuring 1-1/2" diameter with tsm crs grit, features an open-web fiber construction that runs cool and resists loading while the abrasives provide a high cut rate for consistent finishing. The Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ SC disc is available with either silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive minerals; silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral suited for low-pressure applications like paint preparation and finishing, producing a finer finish but breaking down faster, while aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral offering a high cut rate and long life. The discs use the 3M™ Roloc™ quick change attachment system for secure, fast disc changes, attaching easily onto a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately), ideal for blending, deburring, and finishing tasks. Each disc is color-coded by grade for easy identification across applications. The non-woven nylon or synthetic fiber composite embeds abrasives to deliver consistent performance throughout the product life cycle. The open-web design helps prevent part discoloration and warping by running cool, while fiber load resistance limits clogging and maintains high abrasive performance.
