The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ surface conditioning disc measures 2 inches in diameter and features TSM alumina oxide CRS grit. Its open-web fiber construction runs cool and resists loading while the abrasives deliver a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. The disc uses the 3M™ Roloc™ quick change attachment system, allowing for fast and secure disc changes on a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately). The surface conditioning discs are available with silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive minerals; silicon carbide is sharp and suited for low-pressure applications like paint prep and finishing, while aluminum oxide offers a high cut-rate and long life with a coarser finish. The Roloc™ system enables quick swapping between different discs within seconds, and each disc is color-coded by grade for easy identification. Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning products incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating an abrasive system that maintains consistent performance throughout the product's life by limiting clogging and reducing heat generation, which helps prevent part discoloration and warping. The fibers are load resistant to ensure cutting efficiency is sustained during use. The product meets industry standards for durability and performance and is backed by 3M’s standard warranty terms.
