The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ surface conditioning disc is a 2" diameter TSM SFN grit disc designed for blending, deburring, and finishing tasks. It features an open-web fiber construction that runs cool and resists loading, ensuring a high cut-rate and consistent finishing. The disc incorporates abrasive minerals, available in either silicon carbide or aluminum oxide. Silicon carbide, a sharp synthetic mineral, is suited for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation and finishing, producing a finer finish but breaking down faster than aluminum oxide. Aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral offering a high cut-rate and extended life. The 3M™ Roloc™ quick change attachment system allows for fast and secure disc changes onto a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately) and supports heavy-duty applications. Discs are color-coded by grade to facilitate quick identification for different applications. The non-woven nylon or synthetic fiber construction combined with abrasives creates a robust abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product’s life, with fibers that limit clogging to maintain cutting performance and extend disc life, while the open-web design reduces the risk of part discoloration and warping.
