The 3M™ Roloc™ surface conditioning disc features an open-web fiber construction that runs cool and resists loading, paired with high-cut rate abrasives to ensure consistent finishing. This disc, ideal for a range of tasks including blending, deburring, and finishing, utilizes the 3M™ Roloc™ attachment system for quick and easy disc changes. It is available with either silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive minerals; silicon carbide is sharp and suitable for low-pressure applications like paint prep, while aluminum oxide offers a hard, blocky mineral with a high cut-rate and extended life. The quick change discs are designed for easy attachment to a separate Roloc™ disc pad, allowing for rapid swapping between applications. Each disc is color-coded for easy identification of grades. Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning products incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating an abrasive system that delivers consistent results and minimizes clogging, which extends the disc's operational life. Applications for these discs include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, and finishing.
