The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Roloc™ Durable Edge Disc 984F is a 3" diameter abrasive disc featuring a TSM ceramic grain with 60+ grit, designed to provide high cut rates and extended disc life through 3M's proprietary Precision-Shaped Grain (PSG) technology. It incorporates the 3M™ Roloc™ quick-change attachment system for convenience and a laminated 2-ply polyester backing that enhances wear resistance, especially in edge work. The disc includes a grinding aid that helps maintain a cooler temperature during use on stainless steel and heat-sensitive metals such as nickel alloys and titanium, reducing metal discoloration, oxidation, and heat-related stress cracks. PSG technology forms triangular abrasive grains electrostatically oriented to create sharp peaks that enable clean slicing of metal surfaces rather than gouging, allowing faster cutting with less pressure and operator fatigue. As the peaks break off, the disc continuously self-sharpens, maintaining high cutting efficiency and even wear, resulting in longer product life. The disc meets industry standards for performance and durability and comes with a warranty covering defects in material and workmanship under normal use conditions.
