The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Roloc™ durable edge disc 984F has a 2" diameter and features TSM ceramic grain with 60+ grit for precision material removal. It integrates the 3M™ Roloc™ quick-change attachment system with proprietary precision-shaped grain (PSG) technology, which delivers exceptional cut rates and extended disc life. The disc is constructed with a laminated 2-ply polyester backing for enhanced wear resistance, especially in edge work applications. The incorporated grinding aid helps maintain lower disc temperatures when working on stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium, reducing metal discoloration, oxidation, and heat-related stress cracks. Cubitron™ II abrasives utilize PSG formed into triangular structures electrostatically oriented on the backing, creating sharp peaks that slice cleanly through metal, self-sharpen continuously, and reduce heat buildup by minimizing friction, leading to faster cutting and longer-lasting performance.
