The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Roloc™ Durable Edge Disc 984F is a 1-1/2" diameter abrasive disc featuring TR ceramic grain with an 80 grit size, designed to save time and increase throughput through the combination of the 3M™ Roloc™ quick-change attachment system and proprietary Precision-Shaped Grain (PSG) technology. The disc is constructed with a laminated 2-ply polyester backing to enhance wear resistance, especially in edge work applications. The PSG technology forms abrasive grains into triangular structures electrostatically oriented on the backing, creating sharp peaks that shear metal cleanly, continuously self-sharpen, and provide a fast cut while reducing heat buildup and heat-related stress cracks. A grinding aid on the disc helps keep it cooler when working on stainless steel and heat-sensitive metals such as nickel alloys and titanium, reducing metal discoloration and oxidation. This durable disc outperforms conventional ceramic abrasives by requiring less grinding force and providing a longer lifespan with reduced operator fatigue.
