The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Roloc™ Durable Edge Disc 984F is a 1-1/2" diameter, TR ceramic grain disc with 60 grit designed to combine the convenience of the 3M™ Roloc™ quick-change attachment system and proprietary precision-shaped grain (PSG) technology for outstanding cut rates and extended disc life. The disc features a laminated 2-ply polyester backing that provides wear resistance, especially in edge work applications. The PSG technology contributes to a high cut rate requiring less pressure, allowing operators to complete tough tasks faster and with less fatigue. A grinding aid incorporated into the disc helps maintain cooler operation on stainless steel and heat-sensitive metals including nickel alloys and titanium, reducing metal discoloration, oxidation, and the risk of heat-related stress cracks. The precision-shaped grain is formed into triangular structures electrostatically oriented on the backing to create sharp peaks that slice cleanly through metal, self-sharpening as the peaks break off, resulting in a fast cut rate and reduced heat build-up due to friction. The abrasive wears evenly, remains cooler and sharper throughout use, and significantly outlasts conventional ceramic industrial abrasives, enabling faster grinding with less effort. The product complies with applicable industry standards and the package includes the disc with Roloc attachment, suitable for demanding metal finishing tasks.
