The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ surface conditioning disc is a 1" diameter disc featuring aluminum oxide very fine grit abrasives embedded in an open-web fiber that runs cool and resists loading for consistent finishing and high cut-rate performance. The disc uses the 3M™ Roloc™ attachment system, allowing quick and easy disc changes on a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately), making it suitable for blending, deburring, and finishing applications. Available with a choice of silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasives, silicon carbide offers a sharper synthetic mineral ideal for low-pressure paint prep and finishing, producing a finer finish but with faster wear, while aluminum oxide provides a hard, blocky mineral for high cut-rate and longer life. The Roloc™ quick change discs securely attach even for heavy-duty applications, are color-coded by grade for easy identification, and are designed for multi-step finishing processes. Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning products combine abrasives with non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers to create an abrasive system that maintains consistent results throughout product life, with an open-web material that reduces heat buildup, thus minimizing part discoloration and warping. The fiber structure resists loading, keeping abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging and extending disc life. The product meets industry standards for surface conditioning tools and includes warranty coverage as specified by 3M’s terms.
