The Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ SC surface conditioning disc features an open-web fiber construction that runs cool and resists loading, while the abrasives provide a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. This disc is compatible with the 3M™ Roloc™ attachment system, allowing for quick and easy disc change-out, making it suitable for various tasks including blending, deburring, and finishing. It is available with either silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive minerals; silicon carbide is sharp and ideal for low-pressure applications such as paint prep and finishing, while aluminum oxide provides a hard, blocky mineral with a high cut-rate and long life. While silicon carbide breaks down faster, it yields a finer finish. Designed for heavy-duty applications, the 3M™ Roloc™ quick change discs securely attach to a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately) for easy swapping between different tasks. Each disc is color-coded for easy identification of its grade, facilitating the selection for various applications. Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning products are constructed with abrasives embedded in non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, delivering consistent results throughout their lifecycle with reduced risk of part discoloration and warping. The load-resistant fibers ensure high performance by minimizing clogging, thus extending the disc's lifespan. Applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, and finishing.
