The 3M™ Cubitron™ II flap disc 967A measures 7" in diameter with a 5/8-11 arbor and features T29 precision shaped ceramic grain with 40+ grit. It uses proprietary 3M precision shaped grain technology to provide superior cut rates while the flap construction allows for grinding and blending simultaneously. This disc excels in applications such as weld grinding, deburring, rust removal, edge grinding, weld seam blending, and deburring. It includes a heat-activated grinding aid that keeps the disc cooler on metals such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium, minimizing discoloration, oxidation, and heat-related stress cracks. The disc’s heavy Y-weight poly-cotton backing ensures controlled, even wear without premature dulling or glazing, enabling higher throughput. Flap discs operate on a right angle grinder, with 7" discs requiring a flap disc holder for attachment (sold separately). Maximum RPM for 7" discs is 8,600, and Type 27 should be used on flat surfaces or outside edgework. The 3M™ Cubitron™ II series outperforms conventional ceramic abrasives, requiring less grinding force and reducing operator fatigue.
