Designed for light to moderate stock removal and surface preparation, this flap wheel excels in fast cutting and handling high heat and stress conditions, surpassing traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and lifespan. Each flap is coated with this ceramic abrasive mix, bonded to a flexible X-weight cotton backing using a specially formulated resin bond that resists thermal and chemical deterioration during high-speed sanding, allowing cooler running on stainless steel due to an included grinding aid. The flexible cotton backing ensures the flaps conform to various workpieces, with self-cutting flaps exposing fresh abrasive material continuously for consistent sanding performance throughout the wheel's life.
