The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ EXL unitized wheel TR measures 3" x NH and is constructed from compressed, non-woven fiber with uniform grain distribution, utilizing aluminum oxide 6A medium grade. This wheel is engineered to deliver consistent, professional results for applications such as weld polishing, deburring of aircraft parts, and blending and finishing on various metals, plastics, and composites. It features a tough EXL material in higher densities for aggressive cutting power that effectively deburrs edges and corners without damaging parts, while the lower densities provide a soft and conformable surface ideal for finishing contoured surfaces. The wheel incorporates the 3M™ Roloc™ quick release system, facilitating quick and easy disc changes and allowing use of both the edge and surface without interruption from mounting hardware. Available grades include fine, medium, and coarse. The Roloc™ quick change discs are designed for easy attachment to a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately), enabling convenient changes to accommodate different tasks or multi-step finishing processes. The secure attachment is suitable for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of 3M Roloc discs allows swift transitions between tasks. Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning products combine abrasives with non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, promoting consistent results throughout the product life. The open-web material minimizes heat buildup, reducing the risk of part discoloration and warping, while the load-resistant fibers keep the abrasive cutting effectively by limiting clogging and extending disc lifespan.
