The 3M™ flap wheel type 84 244D measures 2" x 1" x 1/4-20 external and features 60 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It is a general-purpose flap wheel made of aluminum oxide on a firm, x-weight cloth backing, designed to deliver a consistent finish and uniform cut in various grinding and polishing applications. Aluminum oxide is known for its fast cut-rate, long life, and self-fracturing properties that expose fresh cutting edges, making it tougher and more durable compared to traditional natural abrasives. The flap wheel is resin bonded for heat resistance and includes a straight spindle mount for easy attachment, suitable for use with bench motors, die grinders, and inline sanders.
