The Thermo Scientific™ external-controlled hotplates enable uniform heating of large volumes and multiple vessels, making them suitable for a variety of applications involving acidic or basic aqueous solutions. These hotplates feature isolation of controls that allows operation in hazardous environments, with large top plate surfaces available in dimensions of 12" x 12" (30.5 x 30.5 cm) and 12" x 24" (30.5 x 60.9 cm) to accommodate loads of up to 40 lb. (18.1 kg). The power light indicates when the control is operating, and the temperature control system provides large capacity with excellent temperature stability, maintaining a stability of 5°C (9°F) over the operating temperature range. The embedded heating elements maximize temperature uniformity by evenly transferring heat within 10°C (18°F) at 150°C (300°F), while a percentage input controller allows for infinite temperature selection. Constructed with a porcelain-coated stainless steel top for chemical and stain resistance, the hotplates also feature a chemical-resistant cover for the line cord and a stainless steel case for maximum corrosion resistance. The kit includes a 5' (1.5 m) 3-wire cord and plug. Note that these hotplates will not ship to residential addresses.
