The kit includes a 10-pack of SpinBar® octagonal magnetic stirring bars, designed with eight sides to provide a greater surface area and added turbulence compared to smooth cylindrical bars. Each stirring bar features an integral pivot ring that aids in reducing friction and chattering during operation. The included SpinBar® restrainer conveniently fits in one hand and is capable of retaining SpinBar® magnetic stirring bars up to 80 mm (3 inches) long, ensuring they stay securely against vessel walls and eliminating splashing hazards when pouring. The sizes of the SpinBar® included in the kit are two each of 1/2 x 1/8 inch, 1/2 x 5/16 inch, 1 x 5/16 inch, 1-1/2 x 5/16 inch, and 2 x 5/16 inch.
