Benchmark Scientific hotplates, stirrers, and hotplate stirrers are designed for reliable performance and safe operation for everyday laboratory use. The space-efficient 7x7 inch and 10x10 inch models feature a durable, chemical-resistant white ceramic top plate and advanced microprocessor controls. These devices include a constant monitoring system for precise temperature control with rapid heating and faster boiling times. The powerful motor drive system ensures efficient mixing in larger and more viscous samples, with a temperature range of ambient +5° to 400°C and a mixing speed between 150 to 1500 RPM, both viewable on a large digital display. A safety LED indicates when the top plate temperature exceeds 50°C. An external temperature probe can be utilized for applications requiring precise temperature control, providing direct feedback to the microprocessor for maintaining the selected temperature within +/- 1°C. All models are compatible with borosilicate glass beakers and other vessels, allowing for a maximum stirring volume of up to 5 L for the 7 inch models and 15 L for the 10 inch models. An optional clamp assembly is available for mounting thermometers and temperature probes.
