The 3M™ PSA cloth disc 348D is a heavy-duty sanding disc measuring 20" in diameter with NH (nut and hole) fitting and 40 grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It features a high-strength pressure sensitive adhesive backing for efficient application and clean removal on backup pads or steel platens, which are sold separately. The disc has a heat-resistant resin bond and durable cloth backing suitable for high heat and heavy-duty sanding tasks. Aluminum oxide abrasive in a closed coat offers a fast cut for grinding and dual action (D/A) sanding on metal surfaces. This sanding disc is designed for deburring, blending, cleaning, and finishing metal parts and surfaces of various sizes and shapes. It is compatible with disc sanders, random orbital sanders, and stationary disc sanders. The aluminum oxide mineral provides a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, offering a long life and resistance to heat buildup.
