The 3M™ Hookit™ Gold Film Disc 255L 5" x NH P400 Grit Aluminum Oxide features aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a film backing designed for fast cut-rate and uniform, close-tolerance finishing on wood, paint preparation, and defect repair applications. The flexible film backing offers consistent finish quality and greater tear resistance compared to comparable paper products, making it suitable for high-production environments. Constructed with durable aluminum oxide, the disc works well on most wood species and incorporates an open coat design for a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade. Additionally, it includes a special loading-resistant coating to reduce clogging issues. The product is designed for applications such as AOEM finish preparation and repair, finishing, orbital sanding, paint and lacquer sanding on cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, furniture, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing.
