The 3M™ Hookit™ Gold Film Disc 255L 3" x NH P120 Grit Aluminum Oxide features aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a film backing designed for fast cut-rate and uniform, close-tolerance finishing on wood, paint preparation, and defect repair applications. The flexible film backing offers consistent finish quality and greater tear resistance compared to comparable paper products, making it suitable for high-production environments. Constructed of durable aluminum oxide, it works effectively on most wood species. The disc has an open coat design that provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade, and a special loading resistant coating to reduce clogging. Typical applications include AOEM finish preparation and repair, finishing, orbital sanding, paint and lacquer sanding, cabinetry, custom woodworking and millwork, furniture, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing.
