The 3M™ Hookit™ Gold Film Disc 255L 3" x NH P240 grit features aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a film backing designed for a fast cut rate and uniform, close-tolerance finish on wood, paint preparation, and defect repair applications. Constructed with durable aluminum oxide, it works well on most wood species. The open coat abrasive provides a more aggressive cut compared to a closed coat of the same grade, and a special loading resistant coating makes the disc ideal for situations where loading is a concern. The flexible film backing offers consistent finish quality and greater tear resistance than comparable paper-backed products, making it suitable for high-production environments. This disc is used in AOEM finish preparation and repair, finishing, orbital sanding, paint and lacquer sanding, cabinetry, custom woodworking and millwork, furniture making, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing industries.
