The 3M™ Hookit™ Gold Film Disc 255L 5" x NH P180 Grit Aluminum Oxide features durable aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a flexible film backing designed for fast cut-rate and uniform, close-tolerance finishes on wood, paint prep, and defect repair applications. The film backing offers greater tear resistance than comparable paper products and provides a consistent finish, making it suitable for high-production environments. Its open coat design delivers a more aggressive cut than closed coat abrasives of the same grade, and a special loading-resistant coating reduces clogging issues. This disc is effective for use on most wood species and is ideal for applications including AOEM finish prep and repair, finishing, orbital sanding, paint and lacquer sanding, cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, furniture, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing.
