The 3M™ HOOKIT™ Gold Film Disc 255L 6" x NH P180 Grit Aluminum Oxide features aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a film backing designed for fast cut-rate and uniform, close-tolerance finishes on wood, paint preparation, and defect repair applications. It is constructed with durable aluminum oxide and offers an open coat for a more aggressive cut compared to similar closed coat abrasives, along with a special loading-resistant coating to prevent clogging issues. The flexible film backing ensures a consistent finish and greater tear-resistance than comparable paper products, making it suitable for high-production environments. This disc is optimized for applications including AOEM finish prep and repair, finishing, orbital sanding, paint and lacquer sanding, cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, furniture, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing.
