The 3M™ Hookit™ paper disc 216U measures 5" in diameter with NH backing and features P320 grit aluminum oxide abrasive on a lightweight paper backing. It is designed for finishing applications using a random orbital sander on wood, primer, paint, sealers, topcoats, fiberglass, and plastics. The disc incorporates an open coat construction and a load-resistant coating to prevent clogging, optimize cutting performance, and prolong disc life. The 3M™ Hookit™ hook-and-loop attachment system enables quick and easy disc changes, allowing the disc to be reused throughout its abrasive life. Aluminum oxide abrasive is selected for its durability, fast cutting rate, and self-fracturing properties that expose fresh cutting edges, making it suitable for woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. Applications include AOEM finish preparation, repair, defect repair, leveling, and orbital sanding. This product is used primarily in the AOEM industry.
