The 3M™ Hookit™ Gold Film Disc 255L, sized 6" x NH with P120 grit, features aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a flexible film backing designed for a fast cut-rate and uniform, close-tolerance finish on wood, paint preparation, and defect repair applications. The durable aluminum oxide abrasive works well with most wood species, and the open coat design provides a more aggressive cut compared to a closed coat abrasive of the same grade. A special loading-resistant coating enhances performance in applications where loading is a concern. The film backing delivers consistent finishing results and greater tear resistance than comparable paper products, making it suitable for high-production environments. This disc is ideal for AOEM finish prep and repair, finishing, orbital sanding, paint and lacquer sanding, cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, furniture, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing industries.
