The 3M™ PSA cloth disc 348D is a 4" diameter, 80 grit aluminum oxide sanding disc designed for heavy-duty sanding applications. It features a high-strength pressure-sensitive adhesive backing that adheres securely to a backup pad or steel platen for efficient use and clean removal. The disc is constructed with a heat-resistant resin bond and cloth backing, making it suitable for high heat and demanding sanding tasks. Its closed-coat aluminum oxide abrasive provides a fast cut for grinding and dual-action sanding on metal surfaces, enabling deburring, blending, cleaning, and finishing of metal parts of various sizes and shapes. The aluminum oxide abrasive is durable, self-fracturing to maintain cutting efficiency, and ideal for use on woodworking and metalworking materials including ferrous alloys. The PSA disc attaches to disc sanders, random orbital sanders, or stationary disc sanders via a separate backup pad. This disc is widely used in metal fabrication and primary wood and panel processing industries for applications such as grinding, orbital sanding, and finishing.
