The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Flap Disc 967A, measuring 4-1/2" x 7/8" with 40 Grit Ceramic Grain, is designed for low to medium-high pressure applications on flat surfaces or outside edgework, particularly in paint preparation and stainless steel fabrication where final finish and gouge resistance are critical. It features 3M Precision Shaped Grain that maintains super-sharp points for exceptionally fast cutting with less pressure. The disc is engineered to run cooler, minimizing metal discoloration, oxidation, and the risk of heat-related stress cracks. Its flap design allows grinding and blending in a single step, supported by a durable Y-weight poly-cotton backing that ensures controlled, even wear for full disc utilization at low to medium-high pressures. A grinding aid integrated into the disc helps reduce grinding temperatures, making it suitable for heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloys. Typical applications include edge beveling, edge chamfering, right angle grinding, weld removal, and finishing.
