3M™ Cubitron™ II flap disc 967A measures 7" in diameter with a 5/8-11 internal thread and features 60 grit ceramic grain on a type 27 wheel. It is designed for low to medium-high pressure applications on flat surfaces or outside edgework, particularly suitable for paint preparation and stainless steel fabrication where final finish quality and gouge resistance are critical. The disc utilizes 3M precision shaped grain technology that maintains super-sharp points for fast cutting with less pressure, and is engineered to run cooler to reduce metal discoloration, oxidation, and the risk of heat-related stress cracks. The flap design allows grinding and blending in a single step, while the durable Y-weight poly-cotton backing ensures controlled, even wear for full disc utilization under low to medium-high pressure conditions. A grinding aid incorporated into the disc minimizes grinding temperatures, making it appropriate for heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloys.
