The 3M™ Cubitron™ II flap disc 967A measures 7" in diameter with a 5/8-11 internal thread and features 80 grit ceramic grain, type 29 wheel. It is designed for low to medium-high pressure applications on flat surfaces or outside edgework, particularly useful in paint preparation and stainless steel fabrication where a final finish and gouge resistance are critical. The disc uses 3M precision shaped grain that maintains super-sharp points for exceptionally fast cutting with less pressure and is engineered to run cooler, reducing metal discoloration, oxidation, and the risk of heat-related stress cracks. The flaps grind and blend in a single step, supported by a durable Y-weight poly-cotton backing that delivers controlled and even wear for full use of the disc under low to medium-high pressure conditions. A grinding aid incorporated into the disc reduces grinding temperatures, making it suitable for heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloys. Key applications include edge beveling, edge chamfering, right angle grinding, weld removal, and finishing. The product complies with relevant safety certifications and comes with a limited warranty covering defects in material or workmanship under normal use.
