The 3M™ Cubitron™ II flap disc 967A measures 7" in diameter with a 5/8-11 INT arbor and features an 80 grit ceramic grain type 27 wheel designed for low to medium-high pressure applications on flat surfaces or outside edgework. It is particularly suitable for paint preparation and stainless steel fabrication where final finish and gouge resistance are critical. The 3M precision shaped grain maintains super-sharp points for exceptionally fast cutting with less pressure, engineered to run cooler to reduce metal discoloration, oxidation, and heat-related stress cracks. The disc's flaps grind and blend in a single step, supported by a durable Y-weight poly-cotton backing that provides controlled, even wear for full use of the disc under these pressure conditions. A grinding aid incorporated into the disc minimizes temperatures, making it ideal for heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloys. Typical applications include edge beveling, edge chamfering, right angle grinding, weld removal, and finishing.
